A confidential space to explore the thoughts, feelings and challenges in your life
I’m an accredited integrative counsellor (BACP) with over 12 years of experience supporting individuals and young people through a wide range of mental health challenges, including trauma, abuse, anxiety, and depression.
My journey began in a secondary school setting, where I worked closely with teenagers facing emotional and behavioural difficulties. This experience deepened my interest in mental health and inspired me to build on my Psychology degree by training as a counsellor.
After qualifying, I spent several years working with sexual violence charities, offering specialist support to survivors of rape and childhood abuse — work that has profoundly shaped my compassionate, trauma-informed approach.
Following a break from counselling during the Covid-19 pandemic, I chose to establish my own private practice — a decision that has been deeply fulfilling and rewarding.
Qualifications:
In my practice, I take an integrative approach to counselling, meaning that I draw from a range of therapeutic techniques tailored to your individual needs. I understand that trauma (whether recent or from the past) can have a profound impact on your emotional, mental, and physical well-being.
My aim is to help you heal in a safe, compassionate environment where you feel heard and supported at every step.
Anxiety often manifests as a constant state of worry, tension, or panic, but it can also show up as physical symptoms like racing heartbeats or difficulty breathing. We will work on grounding techniques, breathing exercises, and mindfulness practices that help you stay present and calm in moments of anxiety. Additionally, we’ll explore the deeper emotional or trauma-related causes of your anxiety to help break the cycle.
Depression can make you feel stuck, drained, and disconnected from life. I will help you explore the underlying causes of your depression while providing practical tools to uplift your mood. Whether it's through reframing negative thought patterns, building self-compassion, or re-engaging with activities that bring you joy, we will work together to help you rediscover a sense of purpose and hope.
You don’t have to live in fear of the next panic attack or depressive episode. We will work on practical coping strategies that you can use in your everyday life—whether that’s managing your thoughts, staying present in the moment, or incorporating self-care routines that help stabilise your emotions.
A major part of overcoming both anxiety and depression involves cultivating kindness toward yourself. Often, anxiety and depression come with harsh self-judgment or feelings of inadequacy. I’ll support you in developing self-compassion and a healthier, more balanced relationship with yourself as you move through your healing journey.
If you have experienced sexual violence, know that you are not alone. I offer a safe, non-judgmental, and confidential space where you can begin to process your experience at your own pace. Healing from trauma is deeply personal, and there is no "right" way to feel or to move forward. Whether you're dealing with the immediate aftermath or still feeling the effects years later, we can work together to support your emotional well-being, rebuild your sense of safety, and help you regain control over your life.
I have extensive experience working with teenagers and young adults, first in a pastoral role within a secondary school and later with a specialist sexual violence charity supporting young people. I understand the unique challenges young people face — from managing trauma and anxiety to navigating relationships, identity, and trust. My approach is age-appropriate, trauma-informed, and centered around each young person’s needs. Whether they're ready to talk or just need someone to sit with them in what they're feeling, I’m here to walk alongside them at their pace.
Becoming a parent can be a life-changing experience — filled with moments of joy, but also uncertainty, exhaustion, and emotional overwhelm. If you're struggling with postnatal depression or finding the transition into parenthood harder than you expected, you're not alone — and you don’t have to go through it on your own.
I offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space where parents can talk openly about how they’re really feeling. Whether it’s low mood, anxiety, feelings of disconnection, or loss of identity, together we can explore what’s going on for you and find a way through.
This stage of life can bring up deep emotional shifts, and my role is to support you in making sense of those experiences, reconnecting with yourself, and finding steadier ground as you navigate the early stages of parenthood.
